I'm not sure what current policy is, but back when I worked at bestbuy
(5 years ago)  you would get the "equivilent" to what you had even if the
cost is more.  This worked well in the computer dept. where they kept a wide
variety of stuff, but looking at BB's lately I've noticed they only seem
to be carrying the 4x cd->md player with no optical out (yeah, I fogot the 
model number, and I just read it like 4 emails ago)  and they still
carry the 330, which is a big step down from where you are....

I'm not sure if they will special order to make up for your lemoned
machine or not.  Ordinarily they will not order anythign specific, they
just take what corporate sends to the store.  They might have to go
straight to sony, and get you a new box... just be happy you
bought the service guarentee...
