MD: Cheap MDs?

I just got an email from my son in Germany.  He says the MD are selling
for 8Dm for a 5 pack of Sony MDs.  At an exchnge rate  of $2.01 US or as
he puts it,  2,01 DM / $1 US,   that that is about $4 US for 5.   hmmm
