thanks for the reply. The issue for me is I thought that I had 40 secs of shock memory. Sony disc (maybe a mistake) -- but I have several recordings of me walking the entire length of the AA terminal at Dallas (20min) and a lot of motion to the MD: no probs. Is the problem in the fact that this was a four hour session?? Are there thermal probs with portable (read: consumer) MD recorders? Should I just go back to a portable DAT? (and I have had recordings blown on those too) Still not have been able to get to an editor (taxes).
