Not in the US, they're not.  Elsewhere in the world, well, the FCC has no
control over them.  That is one of the most significant changes to DECT
that the US is getting.  We get 2.4GHz frequencies, but we lose the
encryption.

I said it is not allowed by the FCC, not that it was impossible to
accomplish.
