This is good as long as you are not recording a series of live mp3s for
example, in which you'd hate to listen to a 3 seconds gap between songs.
On some decks (JE530 for example), when a silent gap of 15 seconds or more
is detected, it gets automatically cut.
So I've recorded a 20 seconds empty (silent) .wav file, and I insert it
between the songs of the playlist I'm recording from WinAmp to the MD deck.
When a song ends, the silence starts. After 15 seconds, the deck
automatically deletes the silent part and puts itself in "standby/music
sync" mode. When the following song starts, the deck automatically begins to
record again, resulting in a perfect track mark and no silent gap.
Obviously it takes longer to record the md (if you have to record 15 songs,
for example, you'll need 300 seconds more), but the result is perfect (and
you don't need extra space on the md like you'd need with a 3 seconds only
silent wave file).

Hope this helps someone.
