I guess the answer is - I don't know.
*But* - isn't there always a "But...", I'd expect if I played a CD on my DVD
player, and recorded from the digital out, to my bookshelf unit, I would
have expected the track marks to be recorded correctly - it being a digital
recording. I was just sort of wondering / speculating as to whether the
chapters on a DVD would be treated in the same way for digital recordings.
I guess my underlying rationale being that when I play a CD on my DVD
player, you use the same controls to skip tracks, that you would skip
chapters whilst playing a DVD. Over-simplistic logic I accept, and I'm not
saying you should base the conclusion on anything as speculative as that, I
guess I was just expecting much the same when digitally recording DVDs.
