I've heard (and read somewhere) that the Pioneer MJ-D509 should be able to
do this.
I have a Pioneer MJ-D707 (which is older, I think, but still listed at
Pioneer's website at a higher price) which however does _not_ have this
feature.
[By the way, I just bought myself a Pioneer VSX-808RDS receiver which has 4
digital inputs (3 optical, 1 coax) and one digital output (optical).
I've connected the MD and the CD digitally to the receiver. That way,
anything from the CD (or any digital source) will be passed on to the MD.
There's just one bad thing about the VSX-808RDS; if I choose an analog
source, the signal won't be converted into a digital signal, which means
that the digital output is "dead" whenever I choose an analog source. So I
still have to use an analog cable to pass on sound from analog sources to
the MD...
Other than that, I'm very pleased with the receiver. Just a side note. :)]
Best regards,
Bjrn
