In response to the news that the MDX60 is available for approx. $150,
let me say as a happy MDX60 that it is a bargain for that price. I have
had an MDX60 for 6 months now, and I gave $260 for mine, which was a
great deal at the time. The addition of a cassette deck is very nice,
as the unit does a very good job of copying from MD to tape or vice
versa. In fact, this unit is one of the easiest I've ever used, with 2
analog auxiliary in (1/8" stereo and RCA), one optical digital in, 2
outputs (RCA line out and 1/8" headphone), and the ability to sync with
certain sharp portables. I don't think the ATRAC recording quality is
quite as high as what I've been able to make using my CD changer to Sony
R30, but it's not bad (and I haven't tested it blind).

If you have any questions about the MDX60, don't hesitate to ask, but I
recommend it without hesitancy.
