Noise in the analog output generated by the digital and servo section of CD/MD players is a real phenomenon. The worst of the problems are avoided by using regulated power supplies. Modern voltage regulator chips and current sources (in DACs) are extremely stable. But noise due to poor grounding and coupling due to proximity (especially in super-compact designs) are the main problems designers face. Many designs, especially portables, have some problems in these areas... ----------------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
