Is anyone familiar with the Sony MDM-111 minidisk drive?
The unit I'm considering buying is a SCSI drive for Macintosh (internal)
whose purpose is data storage, using specially designed MDs.
Supposedly, this unit can also read music MDs, which makes me wonder
whether I could pop in a music MD, and read the digital data directly
into my Mac. This would avoid the digital-to-analog conversion of the
portable MD recorder's Line-Out, and also the Mac's D-to-A Line-In.
Anybody have any experience with this drive?
Anybody know whether the digital data on a music MD is readable by the
Mac?
