I currently listen to MD in my car with a Walkman-type player hooked up with
one of those adapters for the cassette that looks like a cassette tape with a
wire on it. My wife's car has a CD player only, no cassette. At our house,
we buy a new car every five years or so; my wife, naturally, gets the new car
& I get the beater.
So, my question is, when I inherit the car with no way to hook up my
portable, is there a way to add a jack into the audio system wiring so I can
continue what I'm doing now? I would rather use MDs in the car than CDs, but
I don't want to spend $500 on an in-dash unit that might get stolen. I know
that those wireless things that broadcast a signal to the car radio are
terrible; I don't want to use one of those.
