Some of you might remember that my faithful Sony MDS-JE510 died a few
months ago. Since then, I've been trying to use my R37 portable as my
main MD recorder/player, connecting it to my system -- not fun. Best
Buy refused to do anything but give me a store credit; and the MD
recorders they had were insufficient for me (the JE330 and CD/MD combo
unit).

Well . . . I visited Tweeter the other day (formerly Home
Entertainment, Inc.) and imagine my surprise when I asked for a later
model and received an MDS-JE630 for $249! (Note: I did have to ask;
only the 330 was on display.) Needless to say, I supped it up real
fast!

The keyboard entry is so much easier; the pitch control is fun (-4
or -5 makes females sound like males -- what is this feature really
for?); the two-level screen is helpful, as is the faster title
scrolling; the disc-loading mechanism is smooth -- there are so many
nice features! Anything else it can do not mentioned in the book?

Check out Tweeter, folks. That's a deal!
