I'm considering the purchase of a Sony MDS-JB940 as a mixdown deck for
my new Digi 001 Pro Tools system (a host-based Pro Tools "lite"). The
system has 24-bit recording capability, as does the MDS-JB940, so it
seems the two might be a good, and affordable, match. But...
What happens when I go from a 24-bit Minidisc to, say, a 16-bit CD?
More broadly, does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the
MDS-JB940? I found very little info about it on the minidisc community
page.
Sorry if I'm asking dumb and/or inappropriate questions.
