Looks like what my wife might need for her music teaching, but can
anyone say if the mic input is stereo - the only MD boomboxes or shelf
component systems I have seen so far with mic input seem to record in
centre mono (for "karaoke" recording)? Advice welcome!

Point 2: Ben Gertzfield <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and Kiran Wagle
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> write about Minidisco sending product to the billing
address rather than the shipping address or billing to the shipping
address (I paraphrase). But should they allow them to be different?!
Some suppliers on this side of the pond (ie UK) will ship only to the
billing address, in order to reduce credit card fraud - I'm not sure
what the rules are. Otherwise anyone who gets hold of your credit card
number can have goods sent to any address without producing evidence
either that they have the card or that they are paying the bill!

Point 3: Sony 520 control sequences: can anyone advise how I can simply
set my Sony 520 to play back just the last minute or two of a recording
for checking? So far, my best method seems to be to record a short,
blank track at the end for 2 or 3 seconds. Then start that playing and
immediately press the rewind so that it cues backwards to the end of
the last real track. Of course it might be easier with an End-Search
button! (Oh yes they can be useful).
Not an easy beast to control when editing tracks either - a whole load
of keypresses just to mark the divide point, several more (depends on
what defaults on the Menu key) to delete the track. What a contrast
with the R30 where deleting the end of a track involves 3 key presses:
1 - track mark, 2 - delete track, 3 - confirm delete.
Amazing how little functionality we get with *so many keys*!
Maybe I should get a Palm computer with the Wedge
(http://members.aol.com/~gmayhak/tcl/wedge.htm) and set up some macros?

Thanks for the list, I do enjoy, even some of the off-topic debate! <G>

Regards .. John Rolt
