That's strange because for the longest time my CC only had on portable.
They had about 3 or 4 units now.  There was a large portable recorder that
was only $199 (I think it was the Sony R37 - with the PC link).  There was a
small unit that looked like the R50 or 70 and another small unit that was
newer and had a Pc link too.

They had one Sharp M15 or want ever they call them now.   About the same
size as an R 50 but a little thicker.  I think that you reach a point
(unless you are planning to hide the unit near your balls to sneak into a
concert-better not sweat or there go the family jewels:) where they become
almost too small.

My newest portable is the Aiwa F 70.   It's OK.  I haven't decided yet if I
like the clam shell design better then the slot in.  But the back lit keys
as well as the back lit remote are nice.

The remote is a decent size on that unit.  If you are planning to use a
portable in a car, you really don't want a remote that is too small.
