Hello to all on this fascinating list.
My wife uses our Sharp MD MS722 when she goes jogging, but has some
problems with skipping. Does anyone else have problems with their 722
skipping when they run?
The problem seems to be worse on recordings which are made with
the 722 from my Macintosh (via a 1/8" cable). There seem to be
fewer problems with recordings made from the md/3cd/tape shelf combo
unit, although I'm not certain of this, as she's very fond of that
'Modest Mouse' disc I downloaded from Napster.
Is it possible that the portable player 'burns' the discs a bit
differently than the shelftop unit? I do believe this happens with
cdr burners, depending on the laser intensity or alignment or both.
We bought it on cd afterwards, by the way!
