I was always under the impression that if you turned the Sharp volume up to
30 the bass boost would cut off anyway. I've played Sharps at 30 with bass
boost set to 0,1,2,3 and not noticed any difference. Someone on this list
mentioned that the bass boost attenuates significantly beyond volume 25.
I'd say that by volume 30 the signal is just the same with or without boost.
It's a shame that Sharps sense the impedence of the line out cable and yet
you still need to set the volume to max. Couldn't they automatically set
the volume to max (well, line level) anyway? I know the Sony's don't either
(or does the MZR900 do it?).
