Hi all Just thought you might like to know that Richer Sounds are doing the Sony 831 for �119.99 at Richer Sounds. So whats the catch? The catch is that this is so cheap because they are Graded models with no history. So for example, they might be ex-display, may have the rechargable battery missing, or box might be damaged etc. Just refer the local Richer Sounds or their mail order dept to their advert in What Hifi for this price. I was gonna get one today at this price, but found out the only graded 831 they had in Leeds had no earphones (no big loss), and no rechargable (again no big loss as you can get cheap Li-ion batteries.). I hesitated for a few mins, asked the guy to phone the Sheffield branch to see if they had any. Due to some sort of admin error the guy at Sheffield was willing to sell me a brand new model for only 10 pounds more!!! So lucky old me got a brand spanking new 831 for 129.99!!! Not bad for a far superior MD recorder than the top of the range Sony MZR90 :)) And yes I did check, it wasnt damaged, didnt seem to be ex display etc. I have a feeling they are going to be priced at around 130 UKP anyway in a few weeks time when the new Sony model comes out so some people might find it worthwhile to keep an eye out on Richer Sounds What Hifi adverts...
