The Airhead doesn't sound half bad when connected to the headphone terminal on the remote control. But it sounds a lot better when you switch to "Line Out". But... Whenever you insert your remote control, the unit switches to Headphone Out automatically. And there is no way to switch to Line Out. So, don't chop the connector. It will be useless anyway. Solution? Not to use the remote control.
