MD: again car head units and heat

howdy all, i am curious about md car head units, i have a jeep cherokee that
i wanna put a md unit into, but am a little afraid.  the current cd player
get's the cd's kinda hot.  do you need to be more careful with a md in dash
unit than regular cd player or should i look into getting the 6 md changer
instead.
