DCC is compressed but not as much as MD. Dat is totally uncompressed, and
still exists in the market. PCM decks are probably the way to go but I
can't find any, and I heard many use betamax and I have neither those kind
of blanks or the VCR for them, so any deck I'd get would need to include
the tape mechanism, some only include the conversion to take analog to
digital and in to a video signal.
