Hi miniDisc enthusiasts, I need a solution to a current problem and I am hoping someone out there can help. I am running a rather long fiber optic cable (about 30 ft) from my computer's sound card (with optical output) to my MD Deck. However, the MD Deck doesn't pick up on the signal because of degradation. Does anyone know if there exists an optical signal booster?? If so, who sells it? If not, I am also an electronics hobbyist and would love to put one together--anyone know where I can get plans for a do-it-yourself kit? Thanks all!
