to do this manually, with a non sony car md/cd changer you need a groovy
adaptor from sony.  but you can't (from my exp) just plug in a portable
player to the rca jacks.  it requires a bus controll thingy to allow you to
do this.  at one time i did see a company besides sony making an adaptor for
this but it's been a long time.  i hope this helps.
