Actually, I have to disagree. I have had the Sony RM-X69RF FM RF modulator
in my car in use with MDX-65 for a couple of years now and it works
flawlessly. I am in the Boston area and have no problem with drift or
interference from local radio stations. This device is different from the
cheapies you place on the passenger seat. It is wired into the antenna and
has plenty of power to override local radio stations. I have travelled to
other cities including NYC and Toronto and have never needed to change the
frequency that it is tuned to. Since, it comes in through FM it is
obviously limited by that, but in a car with engine and road noise the lack
of fidelity is not very important to me.
