Hello mdaemon-l list member, Webadmin sudah launching, software ini merupakan pengganti dari WebConfig (nantinya) shg kita bisa mengadministrasi MDaemon (termasuk ListServer) melalui Web.

The purpose is to create a single centralized web based administration tool for all Alt-N products beginning with MDaemon. Where is WebAdmin heading? WebAdmin is a next generation product intended to soon replace WebConfig which currently ships as the web based configuration tool for MDaemon. In the future it will also include the ability to administer RelayFax over the web - something which has never been possible until now. A module for LDaemon is also possible some time in the future. o WebAdmin supports 3 levels of users: a) Global Administrators - can edit all MDaemon system settings including all accounts and lists. You can create a global admin by using the MDaemon account manager under Web and checking the "This account has administrative level access to Webconfig" (WebAdmin uses the same access rights as WebConfig). b) Domain Administrators - can edit/create/delete users and lists in the domains they have access to. The WebConfig access rights are applied across the whole domain. You can limit the number of lists and users that a domain admin may create by logging in as a global admin and editing the domain. Domain administrators are added using WebAdmin. Log in as a global admin and go to the domains list and click admins then enter the email address of a user you'd like to have rights to that domain. c) MDaemon user - any user that has an MDaemon account and the "Account can modify its own settings via Webconfig" access right can log into WebAdmin and edit their account. Users can add/remove/reorder their IMAP filters with WebAdmin in addition to several other things. o A WebAdmin.log file is kept which logs all editing done in WebAdmin. The default location for this file is: c:\program files\webadmin\logs\webadmin.log o If you are on a Windows NT or 9X machine that does not have Internet Explorer 5 or later installed and you have not updated MDAC then you may have problems running WebAdmin. If you are getting the error 'Error Initializing Database! check the ODBC Data Source.' then install the following Microsoft MDAC update to resolve your problem: http://www.microsoft.com/data/download_250rtm.htm o WebAdmin only ships with support for configuring MDaemon at this time. We will be adding support for configuring other Alt-N products in future versions. o WebAdmin stores some settings in the registry at the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Alt-N Technologies\WebAdmin. o WebAdmin listens on port 1000 by default. o If you access WebAdmin from the localhost interface, it will give you full access without any login/authentication required.
