Hi Randy.
WOW, This is working in an wap emulator and in my siemens m35i phone, as
far as i can, because i'm searching for the "@" symbol now :)
But that should not be a problem!
Thanks a bundle!
I've attached my worldclient.ini file

1) Make sure that in the WorldClient INI file you have Cookies turned
off.
2) Put the unzip attached hack in the MDaemon/WorldClient/Templates
directory
3) Go to your WorldClient login page with a WAP device or emulator.
I used the Openwave emulator and it worked perfectly.

Randy

Theoretically, it should word when a WAP enabled device tries to
connect - if you're connecting with any other sort of device (one that
does not pass in the HTTP headers that it wants WAP code back) then you
should get your regular theme.

Or do i have to use a special hostname?
like wap.domain.com or wml.domain.com to get it to work?

Ok did that!
Question? Does it work when i have wc running on IIS, or do i
have to run it on the internal webserver to get it to work?
I'm checking it all currently if it's working with wapalizer:

No, you will need to use the theme name ".wml". You can copy
the contents of the simple theme into that directory and get the desired
effect. Placing the period in front of the theme name will simply hide
the folder from the themes list in the regular themes.

Randy,
I'm already not using cookies, so that would not be a
problem.
So if i undersand you right i can use the simple theme and
just put a "." in front of the theme name: ".simple"
And then it should work, well I wil try that one!

Dennis,
the directory for WAP and WML themes needs to be named
".wml" (Note the period in front of it) - the problem that I have seen
that is that most WAP enabled devices don't support cookies. This means
that you can't login and go further than that. You'll have to turn
cookies off or only use (the few) devices that support cookies.

Hi There,
I have 4 different domains, each of them with their
own theme, so when they
log in, they get the right theme wich belongs to the
right domain.
This is all running on IIS.
Now, i want to give the possibility to mobile users to
use the simple theme.
This would be nice if it can be done like one of the
following solutions:
1 - edit each theme's logon page, put in a drop down
selection list, with
the posibility to select, theire own theme or the
simple theme.
(how do i do that)
2 - Or the possibility to detect that a user is
comming from a mobile and
give him automaticly a redirect to the simple theme.
Could this be done by: making a new host:
mobile.domain.com and putting the
simple domain to it, so this overrides the domain and
user setting for
themes. (might be a wish for the wishlist)
In the past (in the days that worldclient was
seperated from mdeamon) in
verson worldclient 5 it was possible (beta) to let WC
autodetect if there
was a mobile user and let it use a mobile wap theme.
What technique was used
here? maybe there was a different port used or what?
It would be nice if there is a solution to this, for
the growing amount of
mobile users!
Cheers,
Dennis
