Itu untuk SecurityGateway.
Untuk MDaemon tepatnya :
MDaemon AntiVirus is equipped with two virus scanning engines: ClamAV and Cyren
Anti-Virus. When both are enabled, messages will be scanned by both engines;
first by Cyren Anti-Virus and then by ClamAV. This provides an extra layer of
protection, since a virus could potentially be identified by one engine before
the virus definitions of the other engine have been updated.
Dalam praktek jika keduanya aktif maka scan pertama dilakukan oleh CyrenAV, jika
CyrenAV bermasalah maka di scan oleh ClamAV.
AV scanning di MDaemon ada 2 macam:
- realtime scanning
Dilakukan di level SMTP.
Harus cepat prosesnya agar sender tidak time out.
- queue base scanning.
Dilakukan setelah message diterima di queue.
Boleh/bisa bebas time scannya karena proses berikutnya dilakukan oleh internal
proses di MDaemon yang bisa menunggu.
