Alex, thank you for your explanations, it is really good to hear that you are working on Sun/gcc C++ dwarf support for the CTF tools.
I have googled for information as to why mdb doesn't support DWARF directly and of the best explanations I could find is in a four year old blog entry of Eric Schock: http://blogs.sun.com/eschrock/entry/debugging_on_amd64_part_three . Is this information still up-to-date or are there any plans to add dwarf support to facilitate userland debugging? Thanks, Nils
