Greg - It's possible that you're hitting an issue we just recently discovered with a ConfigMgr 2012 PXE-enabled DP on Server 2003. smspxe.log should be in %windir%\system32 - can you check and provide?
Thanks Aaron From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Augustine, Greg A Sent: Friday, June 14, 2013 12:38 PM To: ([email protected]) Subject: [MDT-OSD] sccm 2012 DP PXE enable on a server 2003 non secondary site. Ok, I know someone out here has probably run into this so I figure I would ask. We are running SCCM 2012 no service pack, we have a couple of secondary sites and most locations have DP's. Some of the DP's are Server 2003, we have manually installed WDS on a Server 2003 box, and did not configure it(let SCCM do it). Enable PXE on the DP, selected the three options on the PXE Tab. The boot files have set to deploy from PXE service point, and the TS deployment is available to PXE media. Both of the Boot files have been distributed and the images seem to be in the WDS directory SMSImages\<PackageID>\Imagefile.wim. I have noticed that the SMSBoot directory only has the boot.sdi and the x86 and x64 folder in it. The x86 and x64 folder are empty in the SMSBoot directory, is this normal? Since the server 2003 DP is not a secondary site there is no smspxe.log to see what is happening with it. Anybody got any suggestions on troubleshoot this besides upgrading to 2008 server or newer??
