Hmm I believe the one the tech gave me is 2.0.2.1. What did you use on your command line in your package? "setup.exe /S /v/qn"
The package we have is basically pointing at a single EXE. Setup.exe and our program is "setup.exe /S /v/qn". I've tested a few different models at this point now. I threw in an extra reboot into the task sequence and after it, and tha tmakes it go away but i obviously don't want to have to do that. What part of your task sequence do you have it in? Our Model Specific stuff is in in the "State Restore" section. So our display driver/hotkey and so on, then our SOE apps like adobe come right after that. ________________________________ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Peter Johansson Sent: Wednesday, June 19, 2013 5:27 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [MDT-OSD] SV: HP Systems - and the Windows 7 ESU packares.. Anyone see it cause a bunch of other apps to fail in the TS? Hi, I ran a test with our TS now with HP ESU 2.2.1.1 without any problems. The models I tested with where EliteBook 2570P, EliteBook 8460P and EliteBook Folio 9470. Packages like Office 2010, Lync 2012, Flash, Java, etc. seems to install fine in TS after applying HP ESU 2.2.1.1. //Peter Från: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] För Peter Johansson Skickat: den 19 juni 2013 10:52. I just created that package today and I going to try 2.2.1.1 in our task sequence. I'll be back with info on that as soon i know the result. //Peter Från: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] För Burke, John Skickat: den 18 juni 2013 18:46 Till: [email protected] Ämne: [MDT-OSD] HP Systems - and the Windows 7 ESU packages.. Anyone see it cause a bunch of other apps to fail in the TS? I"m wondering if there is something special one has to do to use the ESU's in the task sequence. We have had them in the past and never had issues, but the lastest one we used seems to cause several other installs in the TS to blow up. Adobe, and Shockwave and Communicator and so on. Wondering if anyone has seen odd issues like that with the Esential System Updates and how they dealt with it.
