Thought I would toss this one out there and see what I could be doing wrong.
We set up an OSD advertisement with a mandatory start time and set an expiration time. We use this to flip a collection of machines from XP to Win7. There are always machines that failed to rebuild properly. So, in the morning the tech PXE boots a failed machine and starts the rebuild. At some point during the rebuild the client realizes that it's running the expired advertisement and falls over dead when SCCM refuses to provide policy for any given action in the task sequence. These machines are PXE booted, they select the rebuild and generally get to some point post-SCCM client install when the ad expiration seems to catch up to the client. I don't know why these machines are being allowed to start an advertisement that has already expired. Any ideas?
