What CU are you running on ConfigMgr 2012 SP1? I would suggest CU2.

What does your “Format” step look like?

Thanks,

Keith,

Thanks for the response, but I think I have exhausted my bcdboot and chkdisk
options.

Has anyone successfully deployed a prestaged image onto an EUFI drive
(preferably tablet?), had the machine boot into windows PE, deploy the task
sequence (from the pre cached local copies of the package) and then reboot into
the OS successfully?

Wondering if you have a dirty chkdsk bit.

Otherwise, try dumping out the bcd to see what it is set to:

Bcdedit /store c:\boot\bcd /enum all /v

Good luck

Subject: [MDT-OSD] SCCM 2012 SP1 - UEFI Tablet Deployment Issues

Hello,

I am having a few issues utilizing “Prestaged” media in SCCM 2012 and deploying
to a Dell Latitude 10 Tablet device. I have a working task sequence that
deploys to the tablet, but I would like to create a prestaged image that can be
shipped off to an OEM.

I go through the steps to format the drive correctly for UEFI, use the apply
computer image step, and then I cant get the machine to boot into anything but
the recovery partition.

Does anyone have any experience with this that could help?

Thanks!
