Didn't see your first reply ;)

Conversation thread was broken, you must have replied before I responded, but I
hadn't received the message yet. :)

Read my hint again :)

I'll be a little more specific as my previous hint was a little vague: The
policy I mentioned is a machine policy, hence a machine registry key. How
would you set a machine registry key via an unattend.xml?

Thanks,
-Michael

Are you saying that Michael Niehaus doesn't know what he's talking about? ;)

Nope, using the real Enterprise bits from msdn.

I found the reg key, doesn't look like you can do it in the unattend.xml

*    Key: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StartPage\
*    Value: OpenAtLogon
*    Value Type: Reg_DWORD
* Value Data: "0" Boots to the Desktop
* Value Data: "1" Boots to the Start Screen

You using the release preview? The bits they released the other day are only
Pro and will not be the same as Enterprise released on the 18th, or so I have
heard. :)

Has anyone found the registry key that controls this yet? (Or even better, an
option in the unattend.xml)

Prepping a Win8.1 deployment at a client, and haven't been able to find it.
