When I did bare metal installs with MDT, I had to match the driver versions
of the hardware to the version of winPE. So in my case I needed the VISTA
drivers for the 8200 in winPE. Once the system was up on XP I could then
install the XP versions. Not sure this helps.

Subject: [MDT-OSD] HP 8200 Elite OSD

I am stuck trying to deploy Windows XP on to an 8200 Elite. I know... I
know... XP is terrible. I've gone to HP's website and downloaded all the
drivers, imported them and then created a driver pack. Next, in my TS I
install the driver package and select the mass storage device (here's the
problem) so it can load the rest of the drivers. After the image process
the machine gives me a 0x0000007b BSOD and goes into a boot loop. I'm
selecting the wrong AHCI driver but I can't find the correct one. Any
ideas??!? I've called Microsoft but the boys in India are stumped and HP
hasn't been any help.
