I've seen the same thing in VMware workstation. From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Michael.Beckel Sent: Monday, November 11, 2013 3:19 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [MDT-OSD] Issue Deploying Windows 8.1 x64
I'm running into a weird issue while testing our Windows 8.1 x64 deployments. First to set the stage; we upgraded to Configuration Manager 2012 R2 over the weekend, but we are a TAP customer so we've been running R2 in prod for a while. I'm not 100% certain if this is a post upgrade issue or if it exists before as I just go time to sit down and watch the build today. My test environment is Hyper-V running on Windows 8.1 x64. I've been able to replicate the issue on both a Generation 1 and Generation 2 VM, and with both a MDT integrated and non-MDT integrated sequence. The issue I'm seeing is that any reboot after the Setup Windows and Configuration Manager step the device boots to the Windows logon screen. If I hit escape on the keyboard the Task Sequence progress window appears. If I leave it alone the build will complete eventually. My concern is that the logon window will confuse our installers and they may prematurely logon to the workstation which will cause the build to fail. Thanks Mike
