I don't know if the malware protection service source needs automatic updates
to function.

Subject: [MDT-OSD] OT: Question: Can FEP/SCEP still get updates with the
Windows Update service disabled?

I have created an image, and now have the powers that be asking me to disable
Windows Update, because the updates could disrupt production business and cause
a halt. The problem is, these systems are in moving vehicles that do not
connect directly back to our network and do not have the SCCM client on them
(before you ask, they will not have the client on them)

So that I can make an argument either way, can someone tell me then back up via
online verbiage that this is or is not the case
Can FEP/SCEP still get updates with the Windows Update service disabled?
