I have tried both. Usually I am in Bridged mode.

I normally have the FQDN but figured I would put the IP in just in case it was
having issues resolving.

I will take a look at my settings, but it is weird that on the same VM with the
same settings I can capture the image without having a pause.

Are you using NAT or bridged? I've seen this frequently when people use NAT and
thus don't get their normal DHCP configuration and thus MDT can't resolve the
short host name (it doesn't know which domain suffix to use). If this is the
case, either switching to bridged networking mode or using the FQDN for the
server path should resolve.

Subject: [MDT-OSD] Capturing a VM for reference machine issue

I am trying to capture a new VM (VMWare 9) to use as my reference image. I have
done it before in MDT 2010 U1.

I upgraded to MDT 2012 and the previous images still work, but I wanted to
create a new fresh image.

So I follow the same steps I have done before for having it install windows 7
SP1 and then it capture the .WIM

Then I decided to add the LTISuspend script so I can install some apps, then
resume and have it capture the .WIM, so it reboots, then comes back to windows
and I get this error:

[cid:[email protected]]

Normally it would just show the progress bar of "capturing wim"

So it works when I don't have the LTISuspend, but doesn't when I do add it. I
have been battling this and recreated this numerous times. I thought maybe it
could be an app that I had installed, but that doesn't make sense cause it is
the same apps as the image I created in MDT2010.

I know it is not a credential issue, cause I have it is the same as when there
is no LTISuspend.

I am not sure what else to do, technically this is my first image creation in
MDT 2012, so maybe I missed something. I even created a whole new share just to
be sure, and nothing.
Thanks,
