It should be immediate, at least that's what I've seen. Of course I don't
always delete the computers using the console. :-)

Subject: [MDT-OSD] OSD & CM12 SP1

How long do I have to wait after I delete a PC from CM12 SP1 before it will be
unknown? Is there a way to speed up this process? What are some of the reasons
why a PC would say "No assigned task sequence." in the smsts.log, when there
are several TS is assigned to unknown collection?

Of example, If I preform the following steps:

1. Within CM12 console, I delete a PC called Z930

2. On the Z930, I boot the PC using a TS USB bootable media (dynamic)

3. Within the log I will see a log file line that says. "Client GUID =
GUID:23546789-A7D6-4E01-9B9B-2BFA0ACF36B5, Netbios name = Z930, State = Known"

4. A bit later, it will say:

Preparing Policy Assignment Request. TSMBootstrap 12/3/2013 4:12:31 PM
   280 (0x0118)

    Setting transport. TSMBootstrap 12/3/2013 4:12:31 PM 280
(0x0118)

    Setting site code = ES1. TSMBootstrap 12/3/2013 4:12:31 PM
  280 (0x0118)

    Setting client ID = GUID:23546789-A7D6-4E01-9B9B-2BFA0ACF36B5.
TSMBootstrap 12/3/2013 4:12:31 PM 280 (0x0118)

5. Notice that this GUID matches the GUID in line 3.

6. A bit later, it will say:

Request client ID: GUID:23546789-A7D6-4E01-9B9B-2BFA0ACF36B5
TSMBootstrap 12/3/2013 4:12:31 PM 280 (0x0118)

Response client ID: GUID:23546789-A7D6-4E01-9B9B-2BFA0ACF36B5

TSMBootstrap 12/3/2013 4:12:31 PM 280 (0x0118)

7. Again notice that these GUIDs matches the GUID in line 3

8. <PC was left on overnight and TS completed in the morning. Hence the
date/time differences below.>

9. A bit later it will say this within the log file

No assigned task sequence. TSMBootstrap 12/4/2013 9:14:45 AM
1132 (0x046C)

10. Notice that the log snip it says that there 36 policy read , however it
also say at the bottom that no assigned task sequence. But if the PC is unknown
because I delete the record from CM12 SP1, Why are there no TS assigned? Yes
there are a few TS assigned to the Unknown collection.
