And to make matters weirder, MDT maintains Applications001,002,003, etc. but
ConfigMgr 2012 wants two-digit suffixes, not three. So there is a step in the
MDT task sequence that copies the three-digit list into a two-digit
COALESCEDAPPS01,02,03,etc., then the install apps step uses COALESCEDAPPS.

MDT, by default, sets/uses a variable list with the prefix APPLICATIONS, not
APPS.

Subject: [MDT-OSD] Applications dynamic variable

With SCCM2007, we install Packages using the dynamic variable of PACKAGES and
the MDT Db. With SCCM2012, we are moving to the app model. We are again using
the MDT Db, and for the "Install applications according to dynamic variable
list", I have specified the base variable as "APPS". But when it runs the
install it errors with "No Env variable with specified basename APPS and suffix
'01' is found. No applications installed." Where else do I need to specify
this variable? I don't recall doing anything else on the SCCM2007 side to get
it to work so I am a little stumped. Thanks.
