Are you sure? I know with ConfigMgr add-ons such as MDT and 1E NomadBranch you 
do have to re-create those steps otherwise the changes/new functionality do not 
take effect?

you create a new TS, then you can copy your “Custom” steps into the new TS.

I would say no, you have to manually re-create. I have always understood this 
is because the backend XML doesn’t get updated with a copy.

Here and there I have seen notes about recreating task sequences, like with an 
update to MDT or SCCM.  After the update, it’s suggested that task sequences be 
recreated.  Is a simple Copy of an existing TS good enough (the new TS has the 
same steps and info but uses new code to create them), or are we talking a more 
manual recreation of the TS?
