The Windows 8.1update DLLs for ADSI work fine when imported into WinPE 5.0.
These versioning conventions at Microsoft are getting out of hand. I vote we start calling Windows8.1Update "Windows 8.1:The Legend of Curly's Gold" instead - it would be just as easy to keep track of, and as meaningful. However, I can't find Windows 8.1 x86 to download anymore - there is only 8.1 update available for download. Will it work to integrate the .dlls from 8.1update into WinPE5.0? Otherwise I think I could be a little bit stuck because I never downloaded the 32bit version of 8.1 (without update) Speaking of WinPE5.0. I read that I should update the ADK to 8.1 update but leave the version of WinPE on 5.0 and I don't really understand what that means. Does that mean that installing ADK 8.1update over 8.1 will leave the WinPE alone at 5.0? It sounds like it takes special effort to produce a WinPE 5.1 WIM. I just want to make sure I don't do it by accident. ________________________________ Notice: This UI Health Care e-mail (including attachments) is covered by the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, 18 U.S.C. 2510-2521, is confidential and may be legally privileged.
