I mounted my WINPE image and the files got placed in the root directory and not
under Windows. So this would explain why it wasn't working, but is there a
way to specify the Windows directory in WINPE when you add extra files to a
boot image?

I did this today with a new boot image just for sccm not mdt involved. The
smsts.in needs to be placed in the windows folder within the boot image. I did
it using imagex.

Subject: [MDT-OSD] Increasing the SMSTS.log size??

I know there have been several posts on how to increase the SMSTS.log size
during OSD but having an issue here. I am following a SCCM session from
TechEd with Johan where he created a SMSTS.ini file and then said to add it to
a MDT Boot image extra directory. Below is a summary from the MDT Boot Image
build where I added the extra directory that contained the SMSTS.ini . This
new MDT Boot image has been attached to the TS and these are bare metal builds.

Is there a step I'm missing?
