Note the use of Scanstate.exe /genconfig:Config.XML and the text migrate=yes in
the file that shows you what would be migrated. All you would need to do is
replace migrate=yes with migrate=no and call that XML.

Subject: [MDT-OSD] USMT - copy profile only

HI

I'm new to USMT and have been trying to familiarize myself with the various
migration xml scripts.

One thing that I'm not finding is how to restrict the migration to the user's
profile only. In the environment I've inherited, all third party software is
installed off the root of C: and it all gets migrated by the default scripts. I
know I can exclude things, but I'd like the granular control of migrating only
the folders that I specify.

Can this be done? Can I run a migration that will pull files only from a
specific user's profile and nothing else?

Kish
