WDS shouldn't have any impact. Typically these sorts of problems are caused by a speed/duplex mismatch between the server and the switch, client and the switch, or both. It can also be caused by overly-aggressive antivirus software (scanning all files accessed remotey).

The first phase is coming up with a "thin" image, creating software distribution packages, and replicating them to 6 different servers for testing which include one in Asia and one in Europe. The problem I am facing is one of the MDT servers in North America is running EXTREMELY slow. But only for MDT. It is slow from the PXE boot, all the way thru to completion. The last image took over 7 hours to complete. All the other servers only take about 2 ½ hours. All other file transfers and general access of the server seem completely normal. The server is also a file and print server and it runs DHCP. But so are all the other servers. Are there any settings that can effect how MDT performs? Can WDS effect the performance?
