Is the VHD task sequence exclusive to SCCM (without MDT 2013 addins)? I am interested in using SCCM to automate building personal VDI clients (not interested in pooled clients yet) and trying to figure out the best way to do it. Does the SCCM with MDT add-on support the building VHD workflow, or should I be using the SCCM 2012 R2 task sequence without the MDT additions to build VHDs? Or should I just stick with using templates in RDS to build the machines?
I have spent some effort in building out Roles in MDT so I would like to take advantage of the MDT database when building VHDs for VDI personal clients. The articles here https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn448591.aspx and here http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/9309-how-can-i-use-the-new-vhd-feature-in-system-center-2012-r2-configuration-manager/ and here http://blogs.technet.com/b/configurationmgr/archive/2013/10/31/new-in-system-center-2012-r2-configuration-manager-deploying-an-operating-system-to-a-virtual-hard-drive-vhd.aspx All ignore the MDT 2013 additions/add-ons to task sequences. ________________________________ Notice: This UI Health Care e-mail (including attachments) is covered by the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, 18 U.S.C. 2510-2521, is confidential and may be legally privileged.
