Thanks Phil! Yes, it is Win 7 x64. I had been ignoring the pesky KMDF and UMDF messages at the bottom of the Driver Listing because we cap a WIM every month and I am *pretty* sure I have them in my cap, but I will validate and refer to the deploymentramblings blog post for a remediation technique.
This was the Lenovo article I was working from: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds038816 Jon Nordin From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Schwan, Phil Sent: Thursday, April 7, 2016 5:08 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [MDT-OSD] RE: Lenovo T440P Thinkpad OSD Apply Driver Package ________________________________ *** External Email *** ________________________________ If you're deploying Windows 7, you'll need to update the Kernel Mode Driver Framework (KMDF). I ran into this issue with this the T440P less than a month ago when assisting a client implementing OSD. See here for an example of how to remediate: https://deploymentramblings.wordpress.com/2013/10/24/osd-injecting-the-windows-7-kernel-mode-driver-framework-kmdf/ Hope that helps! -Phil _________________________________________________________________ Phil Schwan | Technical Architect, Enterprise Windows Services Microsoft VTSP ([email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>) Project Leadership Associates | 2000 Town Center, Suite 1900, Southfield, MI 48075 Lync: 312.756.1626 Mobile: 419.262.5133 [speaker2]<http://mmsmoa.com/>[linkedin_logo-19x20]<http://www.linkedin.com/in/philschwan>[Twitter-Logo1-20x20]<https://twitter.com/philschwan> [wordpress-logo3] <http://myitforum.com/myitforumwp/author/philschwan> From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Nordin, Jon C. We're not currently a Lenovo shop, but we have two models we are trying to add to our OSD TS. We try to adhere to the Total Control Driver model espoused by Johan Arwidimark (and others, you know who you are), but for the T440P model we are at our wit's end. We use an MDT integrated task sequence in SCCM. We see the drivers getting added to the Driver Store but after rebooting we are a no-go. We have tried both Driver Packages and Auto Apply Drivers for this device. We have several HP models (and a sprinkling of other OEMs) whose Driver Packages apply easily. Is there some Lenovo secret I should know about? Thanks for any suggestions. -- Jon Nordin
