Exactly what I said – if you’re in IT and not automating a process that *will*
be done more than once, you’re doing it wrong.

Yuck. If it ain’t automated, it should be done. If you can’t automate it, it
shouldn’t be done. IT is automation, manual work is … well, not even for the
factory line anymore, it’s for hobbyists (sorry, not trying to insult anyone,
just trying to make a point).

One of the things that I do when doing a build, is that I’ll go into sysprep
audit mode, clean all the pins, then set the custom pins that most of my users
will use, and then in my task sequence copy the profile. Additionally, will
perform this: dism /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase
after making sure all relevant updates are installed.

Subject: [MDT-OSD] What do you remove from Windows 10 before sysprep ?

Spent the last couple hours prepping a windows 10 VM for sysprep and was
wondering what others have done to build there reference image:

For example I remove the builtin apps that my users wont be using :

· Get-AppxPackage –AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage

· Get-AppXProvisionedPackage -online | Remove-AppxProvisionedPackage
–online

·
Disable the store and one drive … we actually set this in an AD GPO as well as
the local gpo

All our images are built off Win 10 1511 Enterprise
