I’m trying to troubleshoot some slow performance when applying the image during an OS deployment since upgrading our site to SCCM 1511.
The WIM file is downloaded rapidly from the Distribution Points to the local cache, but when SCCM begins applying it to the hard drive it seems to slow way down. Below is the SMSTS log of a sample machine. It took a little over 20 minutes to apply the ~6GB image and this was on an SSD. I have seen it take well over a few hours for the image to apply (again on an SSD), so while the 20 minutes in this log may not seem too bad, there is definitely a problem I need to get sorted out. Is there any logging that would show what is happening between the two highlighted log entries?
