The WID will be fine for what you are doing. From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Miller, Todd Sent: Wednesday, June 15, 2016 12:52 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [MDT-OSD] WSUS for MDT only DB decision
I am going to be standing up a WSUS server to exclusively apply patches during the OS master image build process. We have another WSUS server acting as a SCCM SUP, but I can't use that WSUS for MDT image building too, right? I must have a separate WSUS for MDT master image building, as far as I can tell. I am hesitant to set up another SQL server or SQL DB instance just to host the WSUS service that will be so lightly used and deal with backing it up and maintaining it etc. Is it acceptable to just use WID for this instance of WSUS or will I come to regret that decision in the future? ________________________________ Notice: This UI Health Care e-mail (including attachments) is covered by the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, 18 U.S.C. 2510-2521 and is intended only for the use of the individual or entity to which it is addressed, and may contain information that is privileged, confidential, and exempt from disclosure under applicable law.
