Yea, there are some things in MDT LiteTouch that are “Shared” and some that are “Stand Alone”
Best thing to do is to look for the “ID” of the task sequence in question, There should be a corresponding Folder under the %DeployRoot%\control\%ID% IF you hate two task sequences with the *Same* Task Sequence ID, then, yea they share the same common bits. If you want to create another task sequence that is not tied to another, there is always the “hack” of copying a Task Sequence from one share to another: http://deploymentresearch.com/Research/Post/388/Duplicating-Task-Sequences-in-MDT-2013-Lite-Touch ( See the bottom) -k From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jason Sandys Sent: Thursday, October 6, 2016 1:18 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [MDT-OSD] Understanding Copy/Paste in Deployment Workbench Sorry, my answer is specific to ConfigMgr and not stand-alone MDT. Disregard if you are using stand-alone MDT which it appears you are. Note that I am copying and pasting from within the same Deployment Share. I had to create sub folder within task sequences for it to paste. I changed my mind on that idea and started windows 10 from scratch. What happens if I go back and delete the copied win7 task sequence? Will it mess up the original?
